i recently got a garret hybrid t-28 in on some trades and was wanting some thoughts about installing this on my 1g and what pump i sould use i think its a big t28 also im running a 14b now with 2 1/2'' BUSHURE EXHAUST vpc stock injestors k&N filter with a dejon intake and custom hard pipes and ported 2g 02 and 1st gen halman manual boost control set at 15 psi should i use this turbo

I wouldn't use this turbo. The 14b you have will flow more than the t28. Plus you would need an install kit for it. Hope that helps. Winter

hey thanks for the advice i was doing some searching online if some other forms and i found this and my new turbo allso has a 9 blade count i think this thing would be a little monster its def. not a t25 or just a big t28 man i love this stuff LOL

I'm a big DSM T28 fan.

I just got an FP-BigT28 a few weeks ago, and from what I've read, the way to tell for DSM T28s is the 'exhaust blade' counts. ForcedPerformance bigT28s have 9 exhaust blades[ sig ], while the old FP t28/28 [ before the BigT28 came out] i Believe have 10. and a stock T25 has 11. Thats what i've read on dsmtuners.

I would argue that a big t28 will outflow a 14b in most
circumstances.

im not here to argue about what dose what...... but i have seen the specs on a 14b and a big t-28 and theres a good differnce but if your so into the 14bs i have 3 if u need one LOL pluse i think im goin to install if for shits and gigles just to see what its all about ill post some pics of the turbo

I'm thinking you didn't understand me correctly.

The T28 is bigger than the 14b. I don't think it's a perfect bolt up as some of the lines are different, but everything else should go right on. You'll need to make the opposite of a T25/T28 to 14b/16g swap.

It is strange that you'd choose this over one of the turbos in the 16g family, as those are a direct swap in, but to each their own.
