:D :D :D Has anyone heard much about this. Its from synapse engineering. It looks like a product that can really help us with slow throttle response its a
Piston Actuated Design
, sounds like much quicker throtle response in there vids. It's the same as any other BOV, works of your manifold pressure. But this one seems to be quicker than any iv'e used in the past.

Then you can sound like an SRT4. Those things fully blow off in a vacuum still. As far as the pull design, what do you think the HKS is? Different design but it all works the same.

Yea, i have the ssqv, and to tell you the truth it's the most annoying thing in the world, you parallel park and it blows off, haha.

But its a great BOV because the more pressure you run the tighter it seals.

I've had a ssqv for a while and i really like it, more than any other i've ran. I was just wondering about the throttle respones difference. I know that it might sound wierd because im driving a turbo but i feel that a balanced and responsive car is the best. But thats just my preffernce. Nothing against stock or high horsepower cars. I think i met get one to try out.

I just watched the video, and what exactly is different compared to the SSQV? They seem the same to me. How much are these things going for?

After watching the video I'm not impressed at all. Reacts slower than an HKS. Granted that S2000 was only running 6lbs of boost. They are using a pistons design, which is suppose to be better than a diaphragm. People will buy it though because you can see the piston moving inside the case.

Thats exactly what i was thinking, i'll stick with my proven HKS.

I just watched the video as well and I think it looks to be a great BOV, if they arn't over priced I could see myself getting one when my 1G BOV cant hold the pressure anymore. Their piston wastegate also looks pretty interesting. If I had to make a prediction I would say that this company has some potential to do very well. I believe they release their products in January sometime.

So I emailed the people at Synapse Engineering, here is what they have to say

"The Synchronic BOV is a pull-type BOV. So, unlike the Greddy Type-S or Tial, it is designed to stay shut under boost. The higher the boost pressure, the greater the valve will seat. On the bench it won't leak compressed air at even 60 psi of pressure. It is designed to only open with vacuum. The recirc fitting will come standard with a weld on flange. The flange is interchangeable, so you will be able to remove the flange and put on, say a Greddy style flange so that if you already have that welded on, you won?t have to perform any fabrication in order to use Synchronic BOV. The BOV will be available sometime in late January.

The Synchronic BOV will retail for $219 It is even superior in features to the HKS type II racing BOV at $499"

Superior meaning a new design that people don't understand but sounds fancy. It is more comparable to the HKS SSQV which is the exact same, pull type and is proven.

HKS has been tested to hold over 50psi. As long as it holds 25psi it will suffice for more than 97% of people that use it.
