Sway bar/handling problem

So I recently bought a 95 Talon Tsi FWD that has some modifications, including a lowered suspension with Tokico struts and Eibach springs. I went to change the oil the other day, and I noticed that both ends of the front sway bar aren't attached to anything. They are just hanging there loose. I can literally grab the sway bar and turn it freely. So I'm just wondering if something is broken, or if this is some kind of suspension mod.

Also, I've noticed that the car seems to dance around on the road slightly, especially when I'm going slow or when I'm on a slippery or loose surface. For instance, I'll be driving along at maybe 20 or 30 MPH and I feel like the car is just ever so slightly moving around without my moving the steering wheel. Perhaps this is just my imagination, but I noticed it before I knew about the sway bar, so I feel like it is genuine.

Get yourself some sway bar links to hook up your sway bars. You are a danger to yourself and others on the road if you are feeling your car "float" around without your steering input.

Answer to your questions...yes, they should be attached on both sides of the car to the suspension

That swaybar should be hooked up to your shocks/fork damper on both sides. Your floating is most likely a mixture of terrible alignment from lowering it, lack of a front swaybar, and crappy shocks and spring mix. While you're under there you might as well check the rear and make sure it's attached. Do people not test drive cars before buying them anymore?

So properly attaching the sway bar should eliminate the "floating" problem?

Also, where do you recommend that I get the sway bar links?

And yes, I did test drive the car. I didn't notice any problems at the time and the price was right so I bought it.

it "should" eliminate the problem. By should, I mean there is no way it can handle tightly without your sway bar hooked up. However, as stated above, you probably have crappy alignment, blown shocks are a possibility.

Recover your handling in this order:

-Attach your sway bar>if ride feels tight, get an alignment

-Attach your sway bar>if ride is still sloppy, fix your shock/spring problem>get an alignment


Sway bar links can be found at any part store, JNZtuning, ebay, etc.
