i bought a talon TSI FWD and i pulled the engine and rebuilt it. And i was planning on putting it back in that car but the body needs lots of work so i was thinking of putting it into my eclipse GS FWD. What would I have to do to the eclipse to be able to run the 4G63T in it. Im preddy sure i have to change the ECU and wire harnes. What els would I have to do regarding wiring other sensors and any thing els.
Thanks for your help :thumb:

Well i do know for tranny, if your going to use your NT tranny on the turbo motor make sure you use a NT flywheel and clutch, turbo clutch and flywheel will hit bellhousing and it wont rotate. Friend of mine just did this, ended up having to get a turbo tranny because he bought a act2600 and flywheel for a turbo and it didnt fit his bellhousing, like it fits in physicaly but cant spin. Then when he turned it over the starter couldnt turn at all and it heated up one of the power wires until it caught on fire and now hes got alot of melted stuff LOL.

You would need to change your ecu, the wire harness will be fine from the GS. Your tranny will work but if you have the turbo tranny I would put it in there, if you keep the nt tranny replace the clutch. You will obviously need the turbo, intercooler and what not. I would suggest upgrading the exhaust because the nt turbo one will be quite resptrictive. If you need more help pm me because I have done this with a friend to his talon.

Are there more sensers on the turbo module then the n/t module if so do u no what they are?

So all i would have to do is swap the ECU and make sure that I eather Swap trannys or clutch and fly wheel? Wouldent i also have to re wire the harness cuzz i was looking at a print out of what wires go to what pin in the ecu and they have several wires that go into diff pins in the turbo ECU.

You will have to add a few wires but you can easily use the stock harness.

Wiring to add:
-7th MAS wire (you will need the turbo MAS)
-knock sensor
-injector resistor pack (for 450cc injectors)
-Fuel pressure solenoid (if using a factory pump, don't forget to swap pumps!)

I think that's it, but I'll be able to double check in a little while. See I just did this swap in addition to A/T to M/T about a year ago on a 92'. I sold the car to my brother and I'm going to head out in a little bit to help him work on it.

As far as the tranny goes your definately going to want to use the turbo tranny if you think you may ever have any intrest in cranking up the boost.

This really isn't a terrible job to do if you have all of the parts from a donor car and if you take the time to do some research because there is actually all the info you could need already posted on this very website. If you actually decide to do this and come across any problems you can PM me for help if you'd like. Good luck.
