I was building a 4G63T engine for my TSI but the engine in my eclipse GS is having some problems and i was thinking about droping the TSI engin into the the eclipse without the turbo. Is this practicle and simple? I was thinking it would be just like instaling the 4G63.

same motor but the turbo motor has 7:8:1 compression. its way to low to use without a turbo

and why a turbo motor without a turbo, you have the same block minus oil squirters but there not needed in your application.

also post in right forum, this is not the n/t section

I built the engine with 9:1 comp pistons. the reason im using that engine is cuzz i just happen to have it.

dude your just built a stock compression non turbo motor.

what else is doen to the motor. the intake manifold from the turbo car has one extra vacum port. the turbo car also has a knock sensor that the n/t does not.

No i dident just build a stock engine. I did all of the above,

Wiseco 9:1 comp pistons
Eagle Rods
High Pressure Cometic Head Gasket
ARP Head Bolts
Stage 5 Cylinder Head
*Highest possible flow from a stock size valve! Over 283.4 CFM on the intake side*
• Hot tanked
• Pressure checked
• Competition valve job *PLUS*
• Stage V port work
• New valve stem seals
• SS swirl polished, and undercut valves
• New guides
• Crower springs
• Titanium retainers
• Decked head surface
• New exhaust manifold studs
PTE T3/T4 56trim GT-series Hybrid turbo
Turbo Oil Line Kit
Stage 2 Manifold Porting
O2 Housing Porting
HKS 272,272 Cams

but the thing is that i cant afford to keep working on that car. so i figured i sale the turbo and the cams and put that engine in my GS with a 150-200shot of nitrous. And yes i do plan on getting a universal knock sensor so i can monitor and retard timing as necessary

As long as it's not a 95+ GS then it will go in the same. 94 and under there is no difference between the Eclipse and Talon (well minor but nothing that will bother a motor swap)

if you run that head without a turbo you will lose power. its way to big on each port to get any flow fro a motor without a turbo. it would be like farting in a sewer main. youll have no port velocity at all.

also pm me about that turbo.
