never never land, Maryland
well i i have a tsi awd auto. i was driving in traffic today and while i was cruzing i wanted to speed up just a little bit so i pushed the gas very little and the seemed like it couldnt make up its mind to speed up or stay the same.... kinda like buru buru buru.if your thinking what the hell kind of noise is that it was kinda a studdering sound. it was round 2.5 k and i probebly gave enuf gas to get to 2.8 or 9k and after it did it the first time i tried again and it did it again. it would do this for like a second and kinda like "catch the gear" or "spool the turbo" and it ran fine after those two times.also a thing i noticed was that when im slowing down it sounds a little burbly like the car is going to shut off but the rpms are no even close to that. that doesnt always happen. what you guys think? i only have 62k miles on the car. thanks

Your plug wires have died.
wow. its that simple? thank god its not something...im not going to say it. ill change them on friday. now to use the search botton...thanks dude! :thumb:

Could be that simple. DSMs eat plug wires. To be on the safe side, id check out your plugs and change those accordingly w/ the wires if need be.

yeah im going to just get the spark plugs out of the way 2. peace. :talon:

fixed!!! :thumb: you guys were right. i just changed the spark plugs and wires and every thing seems to be ok. cleaned my intercooler to. holly sh*t i had a very hard time (by myself) putting that intercooler back on the upper tube so i ended up asking my mom to push the tube down while i bench pressed my intercooler. LOL.... it was fun tho! thanks guys! saved me some bucks! :thumb:

These cars can play nasty games with your head, i always assume something horrible and most the time it's a bad ground, plugs or something stupid. Back to the subject, i try and change my plugs every oil change which is like 3500 miles. Just good practice i think. My car loves fresh plugs. As far as plug wires ive been running a set of magnacore wires for about two years and there fine.

i had the same issues, the car seems to really go through spark plugs, not some much wires anymore though. i ended up buying some really good Accel wires and have had them about 2 years. these cars seem to be very tempermental and you always think the worst when it may actually be something pretty small, just as this was.
