Stuttering after fuel system upgrade.

Having some issues after my fuel system upgrade. I installed a 255 and some 650's, as well as a bolt on AFPR, the aero style that bolts on to the fuel rail. My MAFT is on it's way so I can dial everything in, but at this point the car wants to stutter and buck at 4,000rpm. It feels like fuel cut, but I'm getting the effects even under 1/4 throttle. Originally it sounded like a vacuum leak coming from the AFPR so I replaced it with the stock one just to see if it made any difference with the vacuum leak, thinking the aftermarket one was faulty. Unfortunately, there was no change. Fuel pressure seems good, so I'm running out of options. I plan on tuning once the MAFT setup shows up, but even without it I shouldn't be experiencing these issues. Any help would be appreciated.

The car isn't tuned for more fuel flow. Get rid of that MAFT crap and get dsmlink. Do a boost leak test and then get the car tuned.

It isnt tuned its spraying way more fuel than you need.

Are you fouling plugs bad? And have you rewired?

To much fuel. Put your stock injectors back in or wait for your tuning solution.


I also second ditching the MAFT and go DSMLink

He already bought the maft so why not use it? Its fine for a street car. But i wouldn't drive the car anymore until it arrives. Your car is running dangerously rich right now.

In the mean time read, read, read all you can on that maft. Research is key. Those 650's will be tricky to tune.

Also make sure you have a way to log, to watch the timing, because that will be your limiting factor now.
