stumble at low speeds

yeah i have a 92 tsi well my problem is at low speeds or idle the engine will run really rough or stumble like it wants to cutoff nad the check engine lights comes on but when rev the engine up to like 5000 rpms it then goes away. i put a vaccum pump on the egr valve it holds vaccum but it could be sticking not sure what else it could be need help thanks.

Take it to autozone and have them scan it and see why the cel comes on, It's free.

Put it in gear and go full acceleration and tell me exactly what happens.

ok its not a constant problem it comes and goes it usually happen driving so when have to rev it up the check light goes out then it runs normal. i've try to pull codes on it before no codes it
