Just a quick ?.

Do you need different pistons and/or rods to run a 100mm crank in a 4G63 motor...i ask because i just recently came to the conclusion that my crank is dead, and i need a new one, but am having trouble finding a reman 7 bolt crank. there seems to be no problem with gettin a 7 bolt stroker crank though, can i throw that in there or will it mess everything up...

my motor is a .020 bore, 7.5:1 cr pistons, stock rods

This has been covered a million times...

To use a 4G64 crank in a 63 block, you'll need "stroker" pistons. These pistons have the wrist pin moved up 6mm to accomodate the deck height difference in the G64 and G63 blocks. Your rods should be ok, but you'll need new pistons. Be sure to have the machine shop balance the rotating assembly once you get it together.
