it depends on the car. My car would boost more then my friends with the free mods.
 
alright cool. Well, Im looking forward to this weekend. I will be at the Carls Jr meeting spot at the time mentioned. I will probably do some prep work to the car tomorrow after work.

I just did what I could tonight. Took out the passenger seat to get rid of a bit of weight, checked some bolts to make sure everything is good to go ( some bolts on my car like to loosen up so I check them every week ). All I need to do is wash and vac the car tomorrow before Perris. Maybe I will have enough fuel used up that I can start using some 100 oct on Sunday, still have about 2/3 of a tank left of 91.
 
Do you know the answer to my question about the helmet? And where are you getting your 100 octane gas? And you are going on Saturday right? Thats the day I am going. I just caught your "sunday" comment.

yes, I am going Sat morning and Sun Morning. As well as Perris ( they dont ask for insurance, just registration ) tomorrow night. If you want to go, I can give you a call tomorrow when I am headed up to my friends house to meet with him before going to Perris. He lives not far from you in Rialto.

Well I am off to sleep for work tomorrow morning. Ill check in here tomorrow after work and see what you say and give you a call if needed.
 
What time will you be heading to Perris? I may take you up on that. Will depend on what time I get off work tomorrow. I am salary so I have no real set hours. Im done when the work is done. In any case, give me a ring and see where I am. If you guys will be in Rialto, I will do my best to keep up, LOL.

Well, quite a few people showed up to the races today and lastnight. Was a good time. My car isnt acting the best because of the heat and I dont think I will be going sunday. I did finally break into the 1.9 - 60 foots which was a little goal of mine. With the heat though, I could not break into the 13's. I tried different tunes and even mixing in some race gas thinking that it could be because of the heat. I dont know.. all I do know is I was slightly disappointed in my performance today though I did get some damned good reaction time. I am getting that and launching down pretty well.

JLangevin has some video from Friday he should have up soon and I should have some video from another friend up soon showing me getting my arse handed to me by my friends untuned turbo stang. Its great to see a Stang and a GSX roasting the tires through 1st gear :D
 
Yes... its true, I got some pretty nice videos of his launches and 1/8 runs. I wasnt able to get any 1/4 runs on video for him since I ran in the same group. I wount even post my times, they are embarrasing.

In any case, I will have the video up tomorrow. Hopefully early. Im just so beat from the heat today, and then coming home and building a boost leak tester, then testing, and repairing the leaks. I had a NASTY and i mean, NASY boost leak to fix behind and under the TB and the EGR. The EGR wasnt so bad, I just removed it. But the leak under the intake manifold were a couple vacume lines that were torn. What a PITA!

Anyways, it was fun meeting you guys. Look forward to doing it again in some cooler weather.

The_EE: Perhaps next time we go out, I will have a CO2 setup rigged and we can freeze your intercooler before the runs, should get your intake temps way down.

Its all good man, Tu was getting our 1/4th runs so we should have some good ones, even ones of my back end sliding around when I was racing Will. My times were bad as well, the heat was killing us all. I am burned but not too bad.. I dont think.

We really need cooler weather. 110 or so, not counting humidity and then inside a car with a helmet on and no AC = painful.
 
Oh yeah, I am going through my logs from my dyno tune on wensday and might be going with a different tune that has less timing removed. I think with that and the 91/c116 I might be able to do better I mean hell, marcus was still running 11.40's in the heat. I am not going to run tomorrow though. I may hit up Perris this weekend if all goes well.

105-107 before the humidity increases today. Currently 97 in Loma Linda which is cooler then inside my house.

Yeah. I need to start getting stuff for the car. Now that all the necessary repairs are done, I am going to start the modifying. I told my wife this when I came home and she looked at me with dissaproval... I told her, "too bad" My goal is to at leasts have a new setup by January. Like I said, I may start with the 14b so Im plummed for the 16g... then swap the 16g last and retune.
 
Its funny, a $80 hair do and $100 nails, her 15th $200 purse or her 50th set of shoes is able to be justified but you want car parts and they get up in arms... at least I have had to deal with that. At least where you want to be with your car isnt going to cost all that much. I still feel i should have set my initial goals lower and purhaps I would be there right now. At least I am getting there,slowly but getting there. I just need more time, more practice and a few more thousands of dollars worth of parts and i will see the numbers I want.

anyways man, hopefully see you at the track again sometime. we should both have some better numbers as it cools down. I think I am going to drop the boost back down to 18 myself, I have done my best times and power output at that level of boost. maybe I will pick up those 1000cc injectors sometime next weekend. I think the 550's are loosing the battle even at 80% IDC.
