Does a straight pipe being installed have any reason to throw a CEL for a rear O2 sensor?(P0136 - Oxygen O2 Sensor Circuit Low Voltage (Bank1, Sensor2) I put one in weeks ago and the rear O2 decided to go out today, Coincidence? or should I throw the stock cat back in.

It's a coincedence. You should have a P0420 (catylist efficiency low). If you replace the downstream O2 sensor you should get the correct code.

If you have an exhaust leak however, that would make it NOT a coincedence.

I DO have a exhaust leak near the manifold/turbo area, I noticed that the other day also. So are you saying fix the exhaust leak and reset the code to see if it stays away?

Don't forget to wrap and secure some tin foil around the second O2 sensor when not using an catalytic converter.

Thanks, also for the tinfoil your talking on the sensor tip that go's in to the exhaust correct?

Just buy spark plug de-fouler and screw it into the bung where the rear 02 goes. Then screw the 02 into the de-fouler. This puts the sensor far enough out of the exhaust stream that it wont throw a code. It's what I did when I installed my straight pipe.

I think tin foil is a little easier to come by. But pick your method. :)
