Stock turbo gone, what to replace with?

My brother's stock turbo went out last week and he is wanting to upgrade. What is the besta/easiest upgraded turbo to replace it with, assuming everything else remains the same. He wants to upgrade components later, but needs the car running ASAP.

Any help would be appreciated.

If its a 2g, just get a 14b to replace it with and get an install kit.
Or if he wants EvoIII's are DIRT cheap right now.

14b: swap and enjoi.
EvoIII: Your gonna want a couple of supporting mods.

14b is stock 1g turbo manuf by mitsu while T25 is stock 2g turbo manuf. by garett. 14b is bigger then t25 thus can puch more air....

the 14b and push more air, but how much faster will his 2g be? im was wondering the same thing?

i believe cucumber said that after he installed the 14b, 10 psi was like 15 psi on the t-25.

tell him to send his turbo to forced performance and they'll upgrade it to a t28 for 599... that turbo's about the same as a small 16g when the 28's ported
