I have a turbo 420a, and i was just wonder how long will my stock trans last. Right now im boosting 5psi so i dont think that will kill my trans but i mean when i rebuild and im pushing like 12psi think my stock tranny will be ok, i hear there rated up to 700hp shrugs, do u guys know what its rated for and if it will last. Would you happen to know what will make my tranny support ultimate HP ?

kinda depends. it isn't about how much hp you put down it's HOW you put it down. 5psi or 12psi or 22psi, if you are dumping the clutch all the time, shifting at 7k and shifting as fast as possible, then i wouldn't expect much.

Don't dump the clutch, and take your time shifting.. that will help a lot. (and put some pennzoil synchromesh in it)

well not trying to be a rude that doesnt realy anser the question that was asked. Does any one know what the horse power rating of the drive train. cuz realy who wants to baby a car up to top speed on the strip

ok on some neons that make upwards of 550hp which is about all you could ever hope for the trans has probably been the most reliable part of the car so i think you are fine on the trans just you will break axles like crazy. my neon went 12.48@116 on nitrous with street tires and the trans was very reliable but i broke two dss stage 3 axles in two weeks from a roll.
