I just pulled the head on my talon, and I am just now seeing that the engine is not entirely original, it looks like the last owner went through it (which by any means isnt a bad thing). Stamped in the tops of the pistons is ".630" From my experience with v-8's, I would take this as meaning the block is bored .030 over, but I wasnt sure if DSM works the same way (the only bore specs I have ever seen have been in metric). Could someone please clarify?

thats nice info to have, but not entirely what I was looking for. After looking a little close, the pistons say 63D, not 630...does that mean anything to anyone? Or is that what is on stock pistons?

I believe the 63D is on all the stock pistons, just to identify the engine code "4g63". And the stock bore is 85mm.
