Stock Infinity reciever question....

OK, so, my understanding is that the stock Infinity system in the 2G's have the security code. Now, when I bought my car, it didn't come with the card saying what the code is. I took it to my local Dodge dealership, and the guy there called some different Chrysler places, and told me that the only way they could give me the code is if I paid $125 to send it back to them, and then they would send it out.

So, I guess my real question is, will any security code work? I highly doubt it, but I figured it'd be worth a shot.

In the meantime, I'm going to try and contact the previous owner.

Don't call dealers they're a bunch of assholes. Just go on the internet and get a list of like 10 dealers. Get your radio sn and tell them you need the code for the radio. If they won't do it go down the list. It took me like 6 dealers before I could get someone to tell me.

All you have to do is give them the security code off the back of the radio and they will tell you.

Some of the dealerships are total asses about it. But there are some cool ones out there.

We used to have a hookup here, but since he's not spoken up, I guess he's gone. Or, caught shit about it from the boss.
