Stock Fuel Pump Question??

Someone told me that the stock 1G Fuel pump can handle about 400 horsepower if I got a fuel pressure regulator for it. Is this true or do I still need to get an upgraded fuel pump? Im still running my 14b and stock 450's. Any comments would be great .

whooaa not true at all...
Youd need a 255 and up to handle about that much, A stock fuel pump cant even supply near 400 to the crank much less the wheels..
Normally ppl change the pumps out before going over 15 lbs on their stock turbos, and youd need a turbo bigger than a super 16g pushing over 20somethin lbs to even get into the 400whp area.. A fpr does not change the max amount of how much a fuel pump can supply by the way.

and on top of that you need a afpr for anything bigger than a 190... Get a afpr and drop in a supra TT 260 lph fuel pump and call it a day !
