Stock Exhaust Flexpipe Size? (1G FWD)

My stock flex section in the downpipe is completely shot. I am replacing it with a new section. The car is about 45 min away from me and I would like to purchase the correct size the first time. I am not able to go measure it.
What is the diameter and length of the stock flex section?

I don't have the money for an aftermarket dp right now I just need to drive the car.
Also how restrictive is just the stock muffler? What sort of gains could I expect if I just replaced it with a magnaflow.

I have done the free mods, and am about to install the "home depot boost controller" and a boost gauge this weekend.

I would just drive the car the way it is untill you have money for a 2.5' DP. You will be replacing it any way so why screw with it. The pipeing is mostlikley to rusted to repair anyway.

I have to have a leak free exhaust to pass the safety examination, I just got the car last week. You're right about the rusty pipes. I was looking at road race engineering's downpipes.
Apparently I need a custom catback if I want to use their 1g FWD dp. I was gonna save up a little and do my whole exhaust next spring.
