Hey guys,

i have a 93 talon tsi awd with the mods that follow:

550s
walbro 190
S-AFC II
Pocket logger
FMIC
2gmas
Hard intake pipe (Dejon)
EGR block-off
NGK Plugs and wires
STOCK EXHAUST!!!!

My question is this,
Is it possible to run high twelves in the 1/4 mile with good driving??? realistically

thanks

I don't have any proof but I would say realistically not. High 12's will take about 300 WHP and I don't think anyone is getting that out of a 14b with the stock exhaust limiting the flow out of the engine.

Why not just swap out your exhaust with a straight pipe if you want performance. That would definately help you out, and no more restriction.

At this point you most likly lossing well over 30whp by not having a exhaust on there. Its very restricted with no mods. I would have to say mid 13's if your lucky not to be an @ss.

if you REALLY wanna keep that stock exhaust look you can do what my honda friend does...
cuts the stock muffler off, have a shop weld a full 3' pipe straght to the muffler and bam 3' catback...
oh and he also "ports" the muffler (dont ask me how but in the end it ends up lighter)

whole thing cost him under $100 with an o2 bung

Ok guys, thanks for the input,
I know that it is going to be restrictive on the stock exhaust, but i am not going to be able to get around to it, and when i finally do, i plan on buying a nice exhaust, because if i get a cheep one now, i will most likely not get around to getting the better one anytime.
Anyone else have any input????
