Hello, I just picked up scosche MI03B to install a stock amp with my aftermarket headunit.

How exactly do I wire everything?

Splice the new head-unit's blue "remote" wire to the dangling skinny blue wire on the Scosche. Connect the front RCA left/right off of the Scosche to the head-unit's front pre-outs. Connect the rear RCA left/right to the head-unit's rear pre-outs. Hopefully your deck has 4 pre-outs on the back.

Connect the Scosche's circular DIN connector to the factory AMP connector that will be hanging around near the deck mounting area. Don't mistake it for the cd-changer plug if you have one.

Don't install the deck fully yet, but turn it on and set it out output only to the pre-outs (read the manual) and then check your balance and fader to make sure the RCA's are connected correctly--i.e. left is left and front is front, etc.

My deck is set up just this way. Works just fine. You will not use the actual "skinny" speaker wires (8 of them) coming off of the deck. Make sure to cap and protect them. All the audio will go through the RCA's.

I installed it before I saw this post.

I spliced all the speaker wires like normal....
the stereo shuts off and blinks when I plug the amp in, is this why?

I'll go change it

OK, that fixed it. Works great and sounds awesome!
