I just bought this car and was wondering which turbo they came with (oh ya, it's a 5 spd car also). The cars bone stock. Also how much power can you make with this car with minor mods and boost. What are some of you guy's mods and numbers? Thanks

You have a 14B which you can boost to ~15 PSI with stock fuel system, but if you upgrade your fuel pump you can probably turn it up ~3 PSI. Don't turn up your boost without getting an aftermarket boost gauge. Many people's beginning mods are a boost gauge, boost controller of some sort, UICP, etc. You can look things up in the Tech Guide to get you a little more caught up in what to do or you can use the search function to find some other things. Search is very valuable on this site. Most people can get about 300 hp out of a stock 14B with the right mods and such, but you will find that out as you search.

Congrats, hope you are enjoying it.

How many miles on the car?

Any smoke on boost?

Original turbo?

Yea, it's still got the original turbo/motor, ect.... It's got 154000 miles on it, but runs great now that i did a tune up.. It doesn't smoke any at all, even when boost is on full. It was own by a mid aged guy since new and he said he only goton it once in awile, his wife i guess drove it most of the time and was a stickler on obaying the laws, so the car hasn't been beaten really. It's proving too be a very fun car too drive.

I got the same car, 91 awd tsi. You'll enjoy it's bang for the buck :D Mine's got 164,000 miles on orginal everything. The only thing worn is the tranny though :( All I've got done to mine is a k&n filter and all the free mods and i ran a 14.46 @ 93. Thats pretty good I'd say! Also, 1.9 sec 60 foot. Enjoy your car :thumb:

Heartiest congratulations on your new car.
