my dome light and my reading lights no longer are working i need some help with the problem i was planing to hook up my system tomarrow and now this could be a problem

I assume you've checked the fuse...?
FYI, fuse #19 (the last fuse in the box) controls the dome light/reading light, the key illuminator light, foot lights, hatch lights, door ajar dash warning light, and glove compartment light. If these are out, too, it's the fuse (10A).

If it's not the fuse, check the bulb first, then the switch (it can come loose inside the housing - happened on my old GST, and had me stumped for about a month. Took the assembly apart and cleaned all the contacts on the switch itself and no more worries).

Does it light up in the "ON" position, but not in the "DOOR" position? If that's the case, check the sensors on the door - they can wear out with age and the contacts become pretty loose and corroded.
