I don't get it, I made a burned a cd for my car. When I put it in the cd player it will play the first 3 tracks and then the rest I get an error. I have to take the cd out of the cd player and put it back and sometimes if I get lucky, it will play the first 4 tracks. I remember when I first got the car I made a cd and it worked fine. Anyone have any ideas? I NEED music when I drive, I can't stand the radio.

Try another burned CD... if it happens again, then the CD player just isnt reliable with burned CDs.... remember, your CD player in your 91 is 10yrs older than the burning technology used today....

Your 1g has a stereo in it?

Yup, it has the cassette player and eq on the top and the cd player below it.

I've tried 3 burnt cd's. 1 was black, they didn't work at all. Then I tried 2 regular looking cd's and only the first 3-4 track worked like I said. I forget what cd I used that worked.

Seriously a lot of older stereos wont play burned CDs esspecially stock ones. The stock stereo in my 2001 Tundra wouldn't play burned CDs so you might just be looking at getting a new one.
