Are you talking about a subwoofer? If it sounds "SOOO hot" for you, you may want to just start playing some more of the music and crawling around and finding the rattles. You'll be able to hold down any rattling panels and make the noise stop. After that, start propping up the edges with weatherstripping.

Last I looked, dynamat wasn't able to increase the "SOOO hot" factor. Expandable foam comes in varying degrees now. Some is made to expand hard and fast and break drywall. Another is made to not break drywall. I guess your choice would depend upon the application and your experience of use. Dynamat will slow down rattles, but if the rattles are really bad, it will still vibrate.

Look up some of the faq's on sunroof problems too.

I've tried the expanding foam in my door panels and it turned out to be a huuge mess. Take Chuckster's advice and first try to find where exactly the rattles are coming from. Dynamat is way overpriced in my opinion, but there are other companies that make the same products for much cheaper and do the same job. I found a company on the internet at www.fatmat.com and ordered from them. As far as the sunroof goes, there are plenty of screws up there that can be tightened......grab a screwdriver and go to town. You're honestly never going to get rid of EVERY rattle just b/c of the way our cars were made. But, start there and let us know how it turns out.
