hey so every since i got my car its stalled when i come to a complete stop. the alternator light was on so i changed it out and the light went off the bat and alternator is fine and all grounds are good. i have to keep it at 1 grand to keep it going and then when i stop it will stay at 600 rpm then bump bump bump n die out any body got some ideas on what it is.. thanx

if everything is stock, get rid of those injectors and use 450s. You need to be able to atleast set the deadtime on larger injectors (im using DSMLink, all i gotta do is punch in the deadtime number)

whats the compression numbers you are getting?

ya im prob gonna put them back.. and im getting from left to right 140,120,110,120

yep, anything below 140 is no good. do you know if the previous owner did any work to the head?, because if so, you should check the torque on the headstuds they should be at 80lbs. Make sure you torque them in the correct order though. If thats not the case then you are gonna have to pull out the head and inspect it or service it, and replace the headgasket. Hopefully your piston rings are good

You need an engine management system for bigger injectors. The ecu thinks there still 450's an is dumping fuel in there especialy when you get off of it to stop an idle. The ecu dumps fuel an you let off the pedal an then it cuts the fuel an makes it go from rich to lean an it kills on you .

service limit for my car is 121 so im not that far off i just hope its my HG it has the symptoms of a bad HG and im replacing it this week so well see i was jw if it was because of the compression

i see, well you still have #2 at 110. I would tackle one problem at a time though, once you get the 450s installed back and you dont have any problems then its all good. but do save up money, so when you finally decide to replace the HG you can aswell replace all the belts, waterpump and all serviceable parts.

very true and yea im gonna put them back on 2morrow thanks for the help and input.

this is a similar prob to what mine does, but i have standard injectors. i found a vacuum leak last night and duct tapped it LOL, made a slight help with the idle at stops. not to thread jack but does does the boost leak test also test the entire vacuum of the car?

Need a vaccum gauge to test the vaccum in the engine, or even a boost gauge (with vac on it)
