Im having this weird problem that just started today....
The car runs fine otherwise.
It idles really rough when first started, like aroun 750-1000 in between there. If i drive it for a while, when i come to a stop, the car stays at around 2000RPM for about 3-4 seconds then drops to 800 for about 2 seconds, then falls until it stalls. I dont know where to start here, what can cause this?? ISC? I found it odd even w/ my BISS backed all the way out to let in air, it will still stall. I cant find any vac leaks, could timing do this? Any ideas thrown my way would be mucho appreciated... thanks!

Make sure your Throttle Cable isn't in ANY kinda bind - I just added an extra steadying support to mine once & it did the same thing - If you worked on something lately & changed it from where it likes to "lay" it will do exactly what you describe.

Try the easy things first. Check the ISC coil resistances. If they are outside the 28-32 ohm range, the ISC is probably bad. Check the resistances between pins 1&2, 2&3, 4&5 and 5&6. If any of these is outside the normal range, the ISC is probably the problem. You should be able to check these resistances without removing the ISC from the car.

thanks for the replies guys. :thumb: its not the ISC... I have 2 good ones i have tried and no luck. I should describe this better: Its running really rough at low RPMs, sputtering and misfiring it sounds like. It sounds like the engine is barely able to keep itself running around 1000RPM. I did the plugs, the wires look good, but i may replace them to be sure, could ignition timing do this?? Any other things for a rough sputtering idle? Sometimes (and I mean sometimes, it happens rarely) the car will kind of studder in boost under WOT. (Not attributable to boost leak, no leaks, so maybe it is ignition related) I could find no vac leaks... thanks.

i want to get this fixed before spring break is over.... u guys just start throwing ideas my way, and i'll check em out...i need any help i can get! tomorrow im gonna get new wires for the hell of it to be sure, and test the coil pack, is there a specific way to test the coil pack besides checking resistances??
