SS Lines

I found a thread on SS Brake lines, it was in 2007. I just want to see if the SS lines are still failing due to dirt getting through? Have the lines been improved since then? I was looking at goodridge, but saw they failed the most from what I could get. So Now it is between Techna-fit and Tuners Nation Lines. Any advice would be great, thanks!

I have SS lines on my 1G for a few years now and I have not run in to any problems with them. Oh, I'm running the RRE SS lines.

Haven't had any issues with mine either from when I put them on 4 years ago. What's the issue with "dirt getting in"?

If dirt found it's way in then you would have air getting in as well if it wasn't from the master cylinder.

I've had mine on my car for 6 years (definatly 6 new england winters) and besides the fittings getting some rust on them, they've been fine. Not sure what the "dirt" getting through means, but a lot of the new fittings have a plastic covering on them.

They say dirt gets between the SS braided cover and rubs a hole in the rubber hose inside them.
I've heard of some companies putting a clear cover over the outside of the line to prevent any dirt getting under the SS.

Thank you for the replies. I just wanted see if the problem progressed or diminished. In this case 3 out of 3 said it has diminished.

I see there are like 5 or 6 different brands and a price range goes with them of $50-$190. Any recommendations on brand and why?
