I have a 90 GSX with the drop-in fuel pump assembly. Upgraded to a 255 and broke the feed line right outside of the pump assembly. I'm looking for a 6an SS feed line kit to go from the fuel pump to the rail. I think I found a kit from slowboy but I don't know if it has the fitting that goes on the fuel pump.
Slowboy Racing, Inc. :: DSM :: Fuel :: Fuel Line Kits :: SBR Tank to Filter Fuel Feed Kit
If that's not it does anyone know where I can get my hands on this kit? Thanks in advance!

Is the stock fuel tank hose intact that comes off the pump assembly, or did you break the metal line? I upgraded to 8an from the tank to the fuel rail, but nobody had the 8an to inverted flare fitting locally. I cut the hose and used a brass barbed coupling to connect the stock hose at the tank to the new SS braided 8an hose. There are two hose clamps on both sides of the hose and its been like that for a year with no leaking. Sorry if I misunderstood.

No it broke about an inch and a half up from the pump assembly. They are both metal lines on mine. I was running it with fuel line hose and two fuel line hose clamps but I don't want to be cheap about it anymore because of the rebuild I'm doing. Is that what the fitting is called that goes over the Walbro 255 pump, a flare fitting? I saw a picture of exactly what I'm looking for somewhere on Talk but I can't find it now. Plus I need to drop the fuel tank to replace those damn studs that hold the pump assembly.

So it's an aftermarket fuel pump assembly? Or just a new pump?

If you broke the stock metal fuel supply line (high pressure line), then you might want to replace the pump assembly.

I saw a thread a couple weeks ago while I was searching for fuel line upgrade info. I can't find it now. Anyway, the guy broke the metal line right where it comes out of the cover. He then drilled it out and installed AN fittings on the inside/outside of the cover clamping against the cover and then ran fuel line from the inside fitting to the pump. Then he had an AN fitting right on the outside of the pump housing cover. I'm not sure about 1gs, but the fitting on the stock 2g high pressure line is "weird" and there's only one fitting out there to adapt it to AN. It's a "saginaw" fitting that Earl's carries. So that guy's upgrade converted that line to AN so that you wouldn't need the goofy saginaw fitting.

I've also seen articles where someone will drill a hole in the cover and weld a steel AN fitting into the hole. If you have that option, search around for more information.

I'd just buy a used pump assembly or buy an upgraded assembly.

Also, STM has fuel system upgrades like that SBR kit. I just ordered a pump-to-rail kit with -6AN lines, Fuelab filter, braided SS lines, and shadow series fittings for ~$220. I also go their Fuelab AFPR kit for about the same price. And I bought the saginaw fitting from Summit racing.

Yea, it's the stock assembly with a walbro 255. I'm leaning towards just converting it over to an fittings. Right now I just want to get the fittings to get me from the pump to just outside the pump assembly where I can buy the STM kit to the rail. The assembly itself is in good shape it's just the stock metal feed line that kinked and broke. I want to convert to a an fitting/braided line setup so buying a new assembly wouldn't make to much sense.

Well I ended up just running a 3/8 hardline as the fuel feed and a 5/16 as the return. Used a 3/8 drill bit threw the OEM fitting over the fuel pump and my buddy welded the 3/8 line to the fitting and I'm running that hardline to the fuel filter. Spent about 10 minutes learning how to bend the hardlines and etc. and spent about 50$ total as apposed to a few hundred with braided lines. Turned out pretty damn good too. :thumb::hellyeah::D
