This just started happening. I thought it was the belts but turns out its coming from the trans. When I press in the clutch it goes away but when let go it squeaks. This sounds just like the acc belts the faster the speed the louder it gets. I've just installed a ACT streetlite flywheel and clutch set for about 80 miles now. Hopefully this ain't the signs of crank walk or bad clutch .

Have this happen to anyone before? What can this be?

Did you make sure to put the one trans bolt the opposite way of the others to counter vibration? Mistaking it for throw out bearing noise?

How sure are you its the transmission?

Why is it ALWAYS that crankwalk is the first thing that pops in peoples heads...

Its not bro. so chill haha

You said you put a new clutch in..
But i bet you didn't replace your Throw out bearing.

im 99.8% thats what it is considering thats what mine does.

Weird, before I fell asleep last night thinking what it could be. Dreamed I replaced the throw bearing and the problem went away.

Anyways, I've used the new throw bearing that came with the ACT clutch kit. Before I installed it I did a search review on the ACT and found a thread about the bad throw bearing that is supplied with the kit. The thread was pretty far back in the days but I double checked it with the factory throw bearing and to the eyes it looks identical.

Since it seems like the throw bearing is the cause and I even dreamed about it I guess I will just replace it. You guys think that it's ok to drive the vehicle in this condition until I replace it this coming weekend?

haha yeah man your good. As long as the noise doesn't progressively get terrible. im sure its okay.
Hell, i been driving mine with a "light whining" coming from mine since summer. and it hasnt changed.

=) have fun don't worry so much about it.
