Everything with a battery to the trunk relocation is all covered (and easy enough). And I'm sure I could just figure it out easily enough, but I wanted some input as to where they spyder owners put the battery box in the trunk.

I have the 'ol blue Moroso sealed box, and I'm just seeing what was already done and what works. Input on how the box was tightened down would be good, too. :)

I think I'm gonna have to rip out some of the side plastic and then do some sheet metal welding. I don't think there is a flat enough surface in there at all for a battery box.

Behind the rear seats, in front of the trunk wall, underneath where the convertible top folds, on the passenger side.

Thanks! I actually have an appointment with a local shop to do a little custom mounting. I'll look into that, though.

Well, I had a local shop look at it and no dice. That Moroso box wont fit they said while I am using an Optima. They said I should look at a Stinger battery... but I know they cost a bit. Time to reconsider the options...

MrTippy (love that name :) ), do you think my Moroso box will fit back there and allow the top to go down? It's going to be raining a LOT for a week here so I wont get a chance to look at it til the weather clears. (maybe the rain will clear up for a bit when I'm not at work)

Is the spyder trunk different

Don't know where you got that other panel from, but it does look like that. I' just wanna mount the battery in a battery box, though. But hey... I'm crazy/overdo like that. It wont even see the track.

Take the cover for taillights on the back side and you'll able to se behind the plastic cover.... then you'll see where plastic cover is conecting the frame of the car... that place is perfect to plug in the stock holder in.... Just aim it and make a little hole 2inch wide , and you'll see it.... If you didnt understand me i'll send you some pics...
