So the GSX is bone stock and sitting pretty. One of the very first mods im looking into is either a cheap coilover kit, or these tein lowering springs Tein H.Tech Springs for the Mitsubishi Eclipse - DSMtuners.com. As you can see I selected the springs that only lower the car 1". How much will that effect my handling, if any?

And with these springs could I still upgrade to a set of 18-19" rims with a smaller tire. I'm looking into either a set of Konig afterburners in 19's or enkei evo 5's in 18's.

there is a special on the ksport full Adjust coil over setups for about 800 or so floating around here in the forums. The teins are NICE but just dot go for some drop zone egay specials....

Was that supposed to be "dont go for the...." I seen a full set of megan coilover's (the struts and pillars included) pretty cheap the other day, but that was before I got my car. Has anybody used those, and could you tell me how those are?

LOL yes it was, I have a broken Spacebar and maybe some other keys * get angry gaming when i lag *

I personally have never used the Ksport Kit but seams really nice and well liked around hear, I also know the Megan Racing kits are well liked also...
Much more to invest in this type of setup, But it has Boundless benifits If you are going to use the car for the track, auto x, ect....
ALSO allows for ride hight adjustment so If its too low or too high you wont be stuck with it...

If not some good quality drop springs and a nice set of KYB AGX will do great but this will run you about 600 bucks all together so the K sports look real nice in comparison...
Also You can do the Urithane motor mounts this also helps Handling and is fairly cheap..

I run KYB Agx and Ebach springs, I like it but have little road time to even play with setups lately ....

Thanks! I might just wait until i have some spare cash and ill just get a full coilover set-up.

Now this might sound completely stupid (forgive me im still new and knowledge is limited) but to change my motor mounts, will i need to actually unbolt the motor?

you won't have to pull the motor if thats what you mean. i mean you can unbolt them and change each one, one at a time. a cherry picker is recommended for added support just in case

I have the Tein H-Tech springs on my car. It handles a little better than at stock, I got them mainly because I could not go any lower due to the excessive potholes around my way.

I have not used the megan coils on my car, but two of my friends cars are using them. They are by far the stiffest setup I have ever ridden on. Handles well though.

Bleh:barf: Well im not going that route. For some reason my n/t is UNGODLY rough and stiff with all factory parts. So on this car im going for alot smoother handling. Maybe just the H tech's then. That or the Ksports set up.

I have the Megan springs on my car and I absolutely love em. They are stiff as hell though and the car sits really low (they are a 2" drop). I have a buddy that has the eibach pro kit on his, they are a 1.2" drop. These are a really nice ride if you want to improve handling but still want to keep it very streetable. I'd say look into em.
