Hey guys,
I own a 95 TSI AWD and enjoy both drag racing ang lapping.
Thought I would introduce myself since I have been on here for a little while with out posting.

HI!;)

Just to be sure I'm going about this the right way.

I wanted to post a question in the "suspension tech" forum and was not able to do so.
Is this because I do not have enough posts on DSM tuners to have access to this specific forum?

thanks
Pat

Yeah for now you'll have to post in the Newbie forum until you have enough posts.

what struts/coilovers are you running that you want to put hypercoil springs on? I'm a little frustrated here because there isn't any info provided in your profile on what you are running, yet you want to know what springs you should run.
You can run crappy springs with good shocks and have a decent suspension, but if you run great springs on crap shocks, it's still crap. So the whole question about which springs to run really depends on what suspension you are running...
Not trying to be rude here, but you can't just get an answer like "run 9k/7k springs and you'll be good" there is WAY more to suspension than people seem to realize.

And you need to make sure the shocks can handle the spring rate.

For example, 600lb/in is about about the limit for off-the-shelf Koni Yellows. They can be revalved to handle more, but at that point, you probably want to be looking from something that allows a little more adjustment.

Presently I run AGX's, but this spring setup would be on Konis(Dennis Grant's) specs. I do drive the car on he street.
I think I wil go with 500 front and 400 rear.
I will try to upgrde my profile for more car info, to busy at work for now.

I run a 95 TSI AWD turbo 35R +++ under the hood.
I am new to the suspension game for lapping(used o rag race).
Sorry if there is not enough info, will try to post more when I get time.

I plan on running a 700/400 combo with my DG setup. I know various others who are running anywhere from 600/300 to 700/400 on that setup.

I've always seen people try and run about half of the front spring rate for the rear rate. Not sure if that's a good suggestion, or just what it works out to be, but I'm sure DG has posted about it here. It all has to do with some calculations based on our car's suspension.

When you used the calculator what NFs were you shooting for? Using a base 2Gb TSi AWD M/T it looks like you're going to be running 1.89/2.39 which is a hell of a split..
