ok i know it has been answered before i just cant find it today been a long day at work...but here it goes how are the splines different on different year cars that means tranny, t-case, rear end please make it easy for me to understand b/c im getting frusterated bout this LOL
please label like this to make easier on me and everyone else

b/c i want to know what would work and what wouldnt work, also i know 90 will go into a 91 but the shifter cables will have to be swapped too i have a 91 tsi awd thanks for the help all


please add n e thing i might be missing
 
that shifter linkage thing is wrong. i have a 90 transmission that is 22 spline in my car and the shifter linkages work fine. HELL, i just put in another set of cables for the 91-94 year cars and it works! so i am positive that they will work.
