Speedo and tach not working

Ok, so when I got my car the speedo and tach were not working. Nor does the dash light work, what do I need to check? I know the engine has been taken out and rebuilt... the speed and tach were never hooked back up I believe.

You might have the wrong tach for your year. Same problem for me minus the speedo part.

Check your fuses. It should be labeled "gauge"

That would be the easiest check before u start chasing wires and sensors. Fuses are always a good place to start when chasing electrical issues.
