spark no spark any ideas?

1997 talon 2.0 n/t mopar when u hit the key the car starts and then loose spark. turn the key off and wait and try again u have spark for another start up and then gone again tried new coil and swaping relays still the same any ideas would help alot thankyou:

are you sure its losing spark? I have never ran into a spark problem like that. what did you all test we need some more info

i did some searching for you and found another thread with a similiar issue and in there case it was the (vss) vehicle speed sensor. It had a short in it and it would cut the power to the crank sensor and cam sensor. You can pick up a speed sensor at advance for about 17 dollars or so it would be a cheaper option to try than an ecu

Does it throw cel's. Ive seen an avenger do this and it threw a code for bad cam/crank sensor. Find a friend with a scantool and ask him to check it.

i have a 97 eclipse rs 5 speed had my head rebuilt and it ran good for 30 miles i got off the off ramp and car shut off when slowing down i changed the ecu crank and cam sensor asd relay coil pack did my timing 4 times and still doesnt start it has fuel but doesnt spark thats my only problem if u can help or know someone that could help it would be greatly appreciated thanks...

and yeah if the Check Engine Light is on definately find a scanner and see what its for.

that what it was weird went out and unpluged and it ran wow!
