ok i checked plugs, plug wires, change coil pack, checked black thing next to battery(i can't remember the name of it) checked crank magnet interrupter, checked crank sensor oh checked battery
and i still have no spark it cranks fine timing is fine
any ideas before i take to be computer checked
oh 1 last thing the car overheated when my water pump died so everything is new all belts water pump blah blah
thanks help will be much aprecciated since money is tight almost 400 went into the "60k" forced service

I had the same problem after doing my timing. The problem was so simple I felt so dumb after I found out. Check the ignition plug in front of the coil pack. Its runs up and down "I" , the larger connector of the 2,make sure its pluged in all the way.

I checked everything but that plug, compression, fuel pump, coil, ect...
I could see the plug and it was pluged in, but it wasn't in all the way. It came out like 2mm, from when I was back there with a wrench adjusting the timing belt.

Most plugs have a clip on them to keep them from coming loose and mine was broken off from when the guys put the new motor in.

I'd check all of the monor things before buying anything, I was about to buy a new coil pack before I discovered the problem.

ok i loaded the car and took it to pep boys for a computer diagnosis
the guy said he couldn't get any reading out of the crankshaft or camshaft sensors
now is at chrysler dealer
my buddy and i checked it w/ an ignition timing pistol or whatever they are called and no spark at all
anyone that can help me any wiseman arround
thanks

well, I'm certainly no expert, but my laser had the same problem, but the guy before me jurry rigged it, what the problem with mine was was that no spark was getting to the coil pack, the guy who owned it before me just ran power directly from the battery to the coil pack with a switch to shut it off when the car wasnt on....now I have to figure out how to fix the ghetto rig...heh

check the power transitor for the col pack if bad go to junk yard to get one mitsu charges 210.00 for it got mine at j-yard for 25.00

When i bought my car it wasnt getting spark. It ended up being a bad ecu. Ive got a 1G but its worth a shot. My caps leaked all over and it was thowing out all kinds of faulty codes (cam and crank sensor errors among others...). See if you can find a local dsmer that will let you try out their ecu.

well i just got back from chrysler dealer
the oil pump is 180 degress off so it probably threw the crank off timing too am i looking at valve damage(most likely but i thought i'd ask)
and to top that the injectors are not getting pulse(bad inj computer the smaller one next to the ecu probably)
and there were 2 ignition related cables disconnected from behind the intake manifold
so now i need to find a good cheap mechanic because it's little over my head
