its been making this noise for a while ive just made enought money to fix whatever it is... its makes the noise hot or cold not consent doesnt go with the rpm or anything.. from what ive been searching on the form it sounds like my TOB but it doesnt go away when i press in on the clutch...i have a 97 eclipse nt.. if i have to replace my clutch i would like to go with a sort of performance clutch with the plastic clip instead of the metal one from what ive been reading on the form...what specific brand and model should i go with so i can get that plastic clip for the TOB i would hate to buy another clutch and 3 months later this noise comes back...its real loud i get emabarresed and just turn up the music..
help me out

Didnt I just make a post about something like this? I wonder if we have the same problem. Tell me when you figure out where the sound is coming from. The rattling from my talon seems to come from under and a little bit behind the engine. Is this about where your rattling is coming from also?

sry 4 the pissy information
sounds like its from under the engine definately from the driver side.. yea i read ## post but i wasnt sure if we was talking about the same thing.. this noise is LOUD doesnt feel like im gettin any performance problems..but just a pain to hear

As I said in his post. Its prob a heat sheild. I posted 2 ways to fix it, do with it how you please.....

Luckily for us, *IF* it is a heat shield, then it will be cheap, if not free, to fix. You can either rip the shield off or strap it down with something. My problem is that I cant get to whatever is making the sound, cant get that far under my car.

update
ok i bought a new clutch kit with throwout bearing...sound still there..now another mechanic says its my transfer case in the transmission..will post video of noise very soon
