Has anybody seen a carbon fiber lip or just a lip that would look somthing like this one below (white 1g) but for a 2g, With the same lip enforcment mounted on the bumper? Iam trying to give my eclipse a new look but i am in love with the oem style as you can see but i am getting a little bored with this look and wanted to know if anybody could help me out here. Also if anybody wants to show some pictures of a red eclipse to maybe give me some ideas, or just show off.

My car would be the red one. As you can see i need a new front bumper i would like to just get it out the way and do somthing new to it. Nothing rice, I had an idea with a new bumper obviously and a carbon fiber hood with a black lip :thumb: .
Opinions welcome.

Oh, no no no no no. Please don't put any bridge supports out there. Please.
This one's pretty slick:

and a "front lip" search will find you about a dozen others.

actually that firstr picture is of a body kit not made for the 1g but i think it is for the 2g (it was a photochop to see how it looked on the 1g in an effort to get people to make it)

OK I saw this and fell in love! Its like heaven and your still alive :) , this is really clean and nice i wouldnt mind that lip and i looked it up in ebay, but i would like to know if it bolts up or do you have to mold it.

The front bumper on the white 1g is a buddy club piece, I don't know if it is made for the 1g actually but it looks the same for the 2g.
The one on the red spyder is supposed to bolt right on, the owner of the car said so in some other thread.

How did he tell you to install? can i just used screws? i really like that bumper!!!

I have that front lip on my car. It's really easy to install, i just used flat head bolts and painted them black. Its also much easier if you get a buddy to help line everything up.

Here's a copy of the email he sent me..I also had it in another thread about this same lip..http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/showthread.php?p=1634717#post1634717.. Hope this helps you because this is exactly what I did.

"You'll love the lip. Since it's made of urethane,
install is really easy, since there's so much room to
work with (unlike brittle fiberglass). You will need
some generic bolts and screws and a drill, and just
screw in all the places where you think the lip needs
to be held firmly; it's all up to you.

The way I had mine painted, was to section off the
middle, right under the intercooler, and paint the
sides. You will need to have the lip professionally
painted though. I did it with the lip OFF the car.
It's urethane, so the painter will need to add a
special flex agent to it. Should cost about $150. DO
NOT spray paint the lip! It will crack and chip in a
few days (been there, done that, LOL).

There is absolutely no molding at all (and you
should avoid molding at all costs, since urethane
flexes differently from the stock bumper plastic). The
best thing is, you will never worry about cracking
this lip like you would a fiberglass body kit, or even
carbon fiber. My car is SLAMMED, and i scrape
everywhere, and the lip just flexes every time.

Good luck with the install! "

Muhahahaha! I'm famous! :D

The lip only looks that good because I painted the sides to match the car, so it appears to be totally different from the EBay one, even though they are exactly the same thing. It would look a little bland had I left it the way it came (ie, black). I see that its getting more popular now, from the galleries. :thumb:. You wont regret getting it though.

I'm considering getting a front CF lip as well after I got my hood recently. I'm just not too keen on breaking it as I already bottom out constantly(see height of bumper vs. grass in picture) :p
