some 2G questions

My friend just got a 2G GS-t spyder after talking to him about dsms. Now i have a 1g dsm and i know about the free mods and all but the Q i have is do 2g's have the same free mods. Looked at it i wasn't able to see the boost controll solinoid i looked at the vac line from the waste gate and it looked like it ran under the stock air box do they have the little insert that the 1G has that gives it more boosT? The other Q i have is do the 2G's have the turbo silencer the 1g's have?

2Ga had a silencer on the lower I/C piping

yes, 2Gs have that little restrictor in the BCS. BTW, the BCS is located under the intake pipe along this wall.....just keep following where the wastegate line goes. not all free mods r good but i think it just depends on the owner. sometimes the free mods will make the stock BOV leak too. and crappy idle.

my friend mainly wants the silencer out so his turbo will be louder. I just wasn't sure if it was in the same place as a 1G. Thanks for the info. I saw the vac line leading under hte air box i will take a better look next time i see him and his car and let him know.

well you cant really take the silencer out it connects the pipes, unless you use fomr kind of ghetto home depot piping and some fernco connectors or you can just buy a LICP for like 50$
