Why a CF hood? I personally would want all the weight that came with the car on the front wheels..

That would be a good point if a CF hood actually played a significant part in weight reduction. When it comes down to it, CF hoods are for looks.

Every other week, same pics. J/K. Get rid of the red interior and when lowered you should be fine.

I would estimate and say a carbon fiber hood is about 40lbs lights then the stock hood. They are useful for more then just looks, considering a lot of high end race cars bodys are made of carbon fiber instead of fiberglass, for instance the new viper racing comp. In my case its for both since it will also match my rims.

I think he meant since hes FWD then he needs that weight up there for traction with the turbo. CF hoods are a great place to start with weight reduction if your RWD or AWD OR if you just have an insane FWD and that 60 lbs wont matter :sneaky:

By the way the car is sweet beans man, nice job

That weight sitting there isnt going to help at all anyways. As soon as you hit the gas with anything more than 200 hp your gonna be tourqing so hard that the hood isnt gonna hold the tires down to get traction. Also, you dont really want the weight all the way in the front like that, sitting just slightly behind the front suspention is where you want the bulk of your weight on a front wheel drive car, and the hood is pulling that weight forward above the suspention which is moving it to far forward. I like the car, it will look good with a carbon fiber hood, definitely buy one soon that will look awesome!
