this was a brand new half shaft / axel what ever it is only 2 days old and it snaped. could this have hurt my trany/ clutch. the car didnt move at all with it in but it was snaped in half so i dont know it has a life time warrenty. im going to get a new one for free. it was the drivers side. what could make it break i was burning out when it broke but i dont get why a brand new part would break within 2 days .

and on top of that the tracks i left both tires where spining and i just replaced the pas side with a used half shaft that looks like it is 16years old boots not ripped yet on it if your going to ask and it dont clank

The conical shape in the last pic indicates that there was a hairline flaw in the axle shaft to begin with. The break isnt your fault, its a metallurgical mistake that is very hard to detect prior to just stress testing.
Yup, not to mention burnouts do nothing but waste tires (unless at the track) and cause added stress to your tranny and axles and such. It may be fun, but your car doesn't like it much. And we ALL know how particular DSM's can be.... :thumb:

well it snaped at about 6500 rpms i put a new one in and i hear a low chatter sounds like the power stearing but its coming from the tranny could it be the clutch or a gear in the tranny

could it also be the throw out bearing i think i hurd it going bad b4 i busted the half shaft ?

dug a hole how ? what does that mean

the side that broke was the side by the rottors and brakes

the sound seems to get louder when ever the rpms start to go up hard to here from in the car with 3" turbo back no cat
