Car struggles to start... not sure exactly what the problem is. It usually takes a couple tries to get her started. Almost always goes "chuga-chuga-chuga-chuga-chuga-chuga-cccchhhhhiiiiiiiiiiiii". What's the chi? Can someone provide some feedback? Injectors? Is this typical?

Also, can someone tell me what the "buzzzz" noise is (9 second mark)???

It does sound like the rad fans. Do you have your A/C switch pushed in and HVAC on? If the sound is starts when the car is put into the "on" position, get out and check for the noise and see if the rad fans are turning.
 
I do have a fan connected to the BCS as a relay source so it does turn on when "ON" - but I do remember hearing this noise before I installed the fan. My HVAC is dead at the moment (another issue for another day). But does anyone have any ideas about the "ccccchhhhhhiiiiiiii"? It's really bugging me and I want to try and resolve it.
 
sounds like your starter is grabbing the flywheel and then releasing it

thats what that spinning sound sounds like to me.
 
Atleast yours is starting. Mine sounds like that, only it makes a deeper ccchhiii sound and doesn't turn over. I've checked all my ground wires, only thing I can think to check is to make sure its getting a spark. *(a bit weak, but its there... still possibility?)* I've tried poping the clutch at 10mph in second gear.. wont start. No matter what. I'm getting fuel.. but even my brand new plugs are black and smell like gas.. so i'm getting fuel.

I did just reset my timing. No balance shafts, so I aligned my oil, crank and cams-
 
macna, check your ECT. If thats good then I'll put money on your ECU. To the OP- What's your timing look like?

Any suggestions on how to resolve?

Is that a fuel pressure gauge in the video? If it is your base fuel pressure is about 20 psi higher than it's supposed to be. Unless you're compensating for this with Dsmlinks global fuel setting, it's going to cause a severe rich condition. That would result in hard starts, poor fuel economy, low power, and a lot of other issues.
 
Yes, it is a fp gauge. I did change the settings to compensate for 720's, but I did notice that fuel pressure's at ~48psi at cold start, but I know it drops down to about 44psi after she warms. Isn't ~43.5psi where I want to be?
I had the starter/alt checked and battery recharged a few months ago before I had new turbo/dsmlink/injectors installed - but I guess I should have it checked again. Any other thoughts? Thanks again for all the feedback. Appreciate it.

Another note, the spinning noise is actually my fan, which turns on when "on".
 
It's at 60 psi not 48. You must be setting fuel pressure with the vacuum line connected to the regulator. Remove the vacuum line and set it to 43 psi, then hook the vacuum line back up.

GVR is right about the fuel.
If you are at 60psi you are literaly PISSING fuel in at start up.
