Hey guys, I just finished rebuilding my 95 GST's motor since the first day I had it, it spun a rod bearing. So now my new issue. It idles irradically. It will surge between 1000-1500 rpms. It was showing a code p0505 which indicated the Idle air control sensor so I went and replaced the IAC with a new one, I cleared the codes and after a few miles it came back.
I started playing with the vaccum lines and the Idle surge seemed to go away when I disconnected the vacuum hose from the EGR solenoid on the firewall. I pluged the hose and the solenoid off and cleared the code again and it came back within an hour of drive time.I also noticed the Evap Solenoid on the firewall was making a loud ticking noise. So What do I do now? replace the solenoids? I need help here as this is my first Turbo DSM that I've ever owned. Thanks everyone.
