ok let me start off by saying ive rechecked my plug gap three times it is gapped right and they are bpr7es.

so my car is 92 6 bolt tsi awd auto compleatly stock besides boost gauge, k&n, and a road surge shift box. i have a spare parts car that had a bad wrist pin it is a 7bolt 92 tsi awd manuel. so i swapped the injectors, ecu, the FPR onto my auto talon and now there is a slight sputter at an idle and at above 4k rpms. if i cant figure it out i will swith back to stock becouse it ran perfect then. but i was thinking it was an injector not firing right so i unplugged each one one at a time and there all firing becouse they all changed the idle when unplugged. my vac/boost gauge says i have no vac leaks its right at 20 hg like always. could it be the fpr. im a little lost. could i have a plugged injector.

thanks for the help

What size injectors? What did you set the afpr too? Did you touch your biss screw? Throttle cable is not stuck?

Umm, how about the fact that the autos have 390 cc injectors and manuals have 450 ccs. Without swapping to the manual ecu, the auto still thinks theyre 390 cc so its running rich? Just my guessing though :)

Oops, please disregard that. Did not see that he said he swapped ecus :D

swapped my five speed ecu five speed fpr and 5 speed injectors 450cc. all i did was disconnect my battery and swaped every thing. maby i should try running some injector cleaner through the system

is there feul leaking by the injectors?, i had a small leak and my car misfired and sounded like a subaru . i put all new injector seals and now it runs good

you could also have water stuck in a injector, they sell this stuff at wallmart or any auto parts store called heet, its in a yellow or red bottle. its gas antifreeze and water remover , it works preaty good

heet is just methanol/alcohol essentially. it absorbs water. i wouldnt reccomend putting it in to clear a problem up. you need to do a fuel pressure test and if that is in spec, you need to pull the injectors and have them flow tested and cleaned. new seals would be wise as well.

to me it sounds like you have a vacuum leak and a possible clogged/dirty injector.

ok well ill double check my vac connections tomorrow.

ok so i just swapped back to the original setup and she purrs again idles just fine no more sputter. i guess one of those injectors must a little more messed up then just clogged. im going to see if theres a place that will clean them out and test there flow. thanks for the help.
