okay guys this isn't as bad as it sounds. The build on my car is finished, I've put about 240 miles on it so far. :thumb:

The only problem I'm having oil is dripping off the bottom of the oil filter. This isn't a headgasket leak, or anything like that. It's either coming from the Crank Sensor or the Oil Filter. I've taken the crank sensor out, and put a little bit of silicon around that didn't solve a thing. I'm really clueless on what to do because the filter is suppose to be hand tight correct?

If anyone else has had these problems before, please let me know.

What do you think "hand tight" is?

I usually tighten them as far as I can with my hands. If you just tightened it until it stopped moving then your probably don't have it tight enough.

There's an O-ring between the block and the bedplate that's notorious for causing this sort of leak if left out. Any chance you forgot to install it?

Hey Paul, how smart are you? :hmm: You got it right! :thumb: I wiped everything down, put the car on the lift and gave it some gas. Eventually the oil started showing. I pulled that adapter off or bed plate, whatever it is, and the O Ring had fell out of place. Turns out I didn't get it in there good the first time.
Hmm... sounds like we're talking about two different things, but I'm glad you got it sorted out. I was talking about an O-ring between the two halves of the block, which is a nightmare to access. There is another O-ring between the bedplate and the oil filter housing. I think that's the one you're talking about, and fortunately it's much easier to get to.

When Mine was leaking I thought it was near the bed plate turns out that it was dripping down from the Valve cover.. check that as well..

My oil leak is fixed now. When I put it on the lift the oil was isolated to the oil filter. The head, was dry and clean as could be, and I've never had issues with leaking valve covers or cam seals. Just had a fresh build, and only put 700 on it so far.
