I have just recently purchased a 97 gsx. I am not new with dsms, but never encounter such a problem. I just had installed a SBR 3500 clutch with a fidanza lightened flyweel and a set of unorthodox pullys . Before i had anywork done to it the old clutch was like mush (inconsistant pettle presure) and would not consistantly pop up right away. after i got the new clutch installed, it was harder to push down cause of the new pressure, but it lost that presure sometimes and i am also having a hard time going into gears (when i redline 1st and quick shift to second it feels like shifts into a brick wall sometimes). I know it is obiously not the clutch so i leads me to beleive it could be one of 4 things. i am gonna statrt out by bleeding the clutch line, maby there is an air bubble in it. if not, what should my next step be?? Could this preblem be possible my slave or master cylinder?? or if not, is it time for a new Shep tranny??? Let me know what you guys think...

Check to see if your master cylinder is leaking by looking up under the dash at the clutch pedal, and look for any signs of fluid.
Check the slave cylinder by looking at it while someone works the clutch pedal for you.
Let us know what you find out.

The problem was the cluth adjustment inside the car under the dash need to be adjust to engage properly.
