I love how I get asked in my last thread if I joined this forum to "talk trash", but yet it seems to be almost all of what I was welcomed with!!! You guys are the ones talking all the shit, not me. So thankx for closing the thread Defiant!

All I asked was if anyone had beaten a STi? Is that a crime on this forum? Apparently all the DSMs that I have raced must have been just a piles of shiny junk... Or as I had said before, the people driving them suck at racing. Maybe even both! Who knows, that's what I have experienced though. It's not my fault they're giving your precious cars a bad name in my area.

KPWSerpiente - Some of that was pretty funny, if I ever just so happen to find myself in the VA, Hburg or FFx area with nothing better to do I'll be sure to try and look you up (not a threat). And where did I ask if anyone was worried about losing to a Subaru or state that my car is better than a DSM? Oh, that's right, I DIDN'T. Settle down, and take your medication.

Hopefully soon I'll be able to get a couple runs in against my friend, afterwhich I'll be happy to say who won. I asked my question mainly because, after letting my friend drive my car (who owns the '97 TSi AWD), he said that out of the box it out handled his and seemed to be pretty close to what his feels like powerwise. My car being stock and his decently modded with FMIC, aftermarket turbo running like 20 something lbs., Elec. Boost Cont., FMS, full exhaust, yada yada yada...

He actually owns like 3 DSMs total now if memory serves me correctly and posts on this board. Let me just say I have no problems with DSMs and the late model Talons are one of my favorite cars. I probably should have put that in my initial post...

When I was going to buy a new car it was between the '05 EVO 8 MR, '05 STi, and or possibly the newest talon I could find. I ended up going with the Scooby because I have a family and needed 4 doors. I like the EVOs, but when I drove in one it felt like a tin can on wheels. Fast, but a tin can none the less.

Oh and by the way, I paid for my car MYSELF. And I bought my wife a 2.5RS the same night. Just because I can afford to buy a nicer car than your's must be doesn't mean "Mommy and Daddy" bought it for me. Grow up already...

If you read Defiant's post, it wasn't trash talking that got it closed. Bench racing is frowned upon and this will probably get closed as well. If your thread get's closed it shouldn't be started again or you risk suspension.

Quite frankly you are comparing two completely different platforms, The Evolution MR is what you SHOULD be comparing the vehicle. The standard horsepower ratings have raised quite a bit since DSMs were initially released.

I personally haven't gone up against a 2004-2005 STi, I know I'd lose anyway since my mods are..well not there.

Around here there are quite a few DSMs that run 10s in the 1/4 mile, and the fastest subaru I saw run was 12.5.

You talk about modded DSMs, now how modded are they? just exhaust or what? because if you really expect a DSM with intake and exhaust to even give you a run, its not the driver its the car.

I must admit DSMs aren't very reliable and break down quite a bit, but for the price they are a awesome potential race car. I also think they look 100 times better than a STi does. This is just my opinion, figure I'd express mine since you expressed yours.
