okay so I know this may be a stupid question, but I can't find an answer I'm looking for. I'm looking into getting a black box ecu. Am I able to use this in my 96 dsm? Just a simple explanation why or why not is sufficient. Thanks in advance.

Yes you can use it on any 2g

Do more homework because It way work but your going to have abnormal symptoms that you'll have to compensate for like for instance the 98-99 had different sensor than your 96, so it may beam a CEL at your face after using that ecu.
