OK.
i got my car and it was not running when i got it.
I have no spark or fuel.
I changed out my fuel pump to a walbro 255, and i still get no fuel.
Whenever i put 12V to the fuel pump test connector on the firewall, the fuel pump Still does not come on. My MPI fuse on the battery terminal is ok, and i recently replaced the MPI relay (next to the ecu) with a NEW one. While i was in that area, i took my ECU out and opened it up. There were no leaking caps and everything looked fine in there.
I'm stumped. I think i might invest in a fuel pump rewire kit, since even the test connector won't work on it.
I don't want to shell out 180$ to have my ECU rebuilt if that's not the problem. I have no CEL, and there is no "clicking" or bad smells from the car when it's on. Is there any way i can "test" my ECU to see if it's good or needs replacing?
One thing that i figured i should mention. When i got the car, the CAS (the sensor on the valve cover) sensor was off the car and the previous person had cranked the car over without the sensor on. I bought a NEW sensor, but i do not know if the sensor has to be in a certain position? If the new CAS is plugged in but not installed, the car should still get spark, right? While the key was on the ON position, i moved the coil around and accidentally sparked it on the strut tower. This means the coil is bad?(the power transistor is good, right?)
I'm just out of ideas right now and i'm thinking of rolling the car on a trailer and taking it to someone who can fix it.
