So I have a 1997 Talon base model, which has no side skirts. It still has the stock front and rear bumpers, and I was wondering what a good option for skirts might be that would flow relatively well with my bumpers. I'm lookin to go cheap, so im even interested in decent looking skirts. Any suggestions?? (pics would helo p greatly too) thanks a lot

The cheapest would probably be a set of 95-96 Talon turbo sideskirts. Check my gallery for pics on my car. I shaved over the Chrysler logo as well as the DOHC TURBO on them. I thought they flowed well with the bumpers, but I will be replacing them with '99 sideskirts for the complete OEM look.

Speak of the devil! Did you just drill the holes for the push in clip to mount them up? Ive been wanting to do that for a while but I cant find factory white skirts for sale usually.

I did not attempt the install myself I had an auto body shop do it for me. But basically they held the skirts in place and made marks on the body where to drill. Then put the tabs on the skirts and press in place. I would take you time and find a good shop that is very confident in what they are doing...this is easy to screw up if you drill a little offline.

The project car we are building up (97 GSX) has a set of factory side skirts. They are pretty much a perfect look on the car. Very good design by mitsu.
I would roll with those for guarenteed fitment and look.
If you decide on going with a set of fiberglass side skirts, you are going to be spending alot of time sanding and filling to get them looking right. Along with that you will be trimming and probably doing a small amount of fiberglassing to get them to sit right.
I would suggest going with a decent auto body shop with a history of doing bodykits for the install.
