Celcius is more accurate because it has smaller Incriments in degrees. Most of the highend guages use Celcius.

Waitaminute, no they're not- the scales cross at -40, Celsius boils water at 100°, Farenheit boils at 212°. So °F would be "smaller". I'd bet these things are made in °C because the source for the drivers are either European or adapted to the American automotive market from scientific- based fields.
I also think the Canadians are so quiet because so much of their thought-time is used up by that hideous Metric system, trying to figure out what all those numbers are in real English measurements. Not to panic, though- by Congressional decree, the USA will be all metric in September of 1968.
100 kilometers? What's that in distance?

hmm, Im not really sure now. Im confused.
Autometer reads to 1600 Degrees F.
The EGT we are looking at reads to 1000 C or 1700 F.

The Gauge will display degrees Celsius with resolution to 1 degree

Temperatures up to 1000 C or 1700 F are no problem

That first quote doesnt necessarily say Celcius read out only, it simply states teh accuracy, where with F it probly reads within 2 degrees (doesnt sound as good for a selling point).
The second quote makes me wonder if you can chose C or F. Im gonna email them.
But you are right, F would be more accurate because of the smaller increments...I dont know WTF I was thinkgin.

*edit*
Also notice this, the guage is showing 1070 degrees. But says it only reads to 1000 C. So it must display F too.

There's gotta be range limitations on what the probes will deal with for the kind of prices we'll pay for hotrods. NASA can probably range from shallow-space to liftoff nozzle temps (cool inside/outide switch, lookit the gauge bounce!), but for we mere earthlings and a couple hundred bucks, it's gotta be cheaper to make a "that's prety close" item.

How well do the DSM manifolds hold up to having a hole drilled in them for the sensor?

Ebay has the pod for in the vents for a safc mount in a 1g. I am in the process of making one for my 2g. Going to use carbon fiber! Here is what I have now:

I emailed them, It reads in C only, and comes with a chart for conversion. He said just find you max safe temp, and thats all you need to know.

for those of u that have them in the vents, do u guys feel alright making a test run? i think i might get a little cautious if i had to look down at the guages, then look back up, maybe even find a rear end in my face...thats kinda why i like the a-pillar. but i do like the way they look, machv's especially.

I went with something different than the A Piller pods. This is the only pic I have so far, I just installed it last night. After this picture the batteries in my camara died so I yet taken any pictures of it mounted.

The gauges are really not very far from your line of sight. I have no problem looking down at my gauges to see what my boost or EGT is when I get on the throttle. A lot of people bring up this question but I say how long do you really need to look at your gauge to see what it's reading? If you stare at your gauges while driving or attempt test runs in traffic then I really don't think the location of your gauges is the problem.

:p

Dude, Airpoppoff, your interior looks bad as hell. I love the blue. I got the neons under the dash, indiglo gauge faces and gauges but replacing all the orange LEDs with the blue ones looks sick. Damn I diffinently need to get on it and finish mine. What brand gauge faces are those if you don't mind me asking and where did you get them from. I think mine just burnt out.
